My scrapbook nook

Today I'm giving you a peek inside my own home. I love my little scrapbook nook, it is neatly tucked in the corner of our finished basement. We use our basement mostly as a second family room and the kids play all their video games here. I like being able to scrapbook and still be with my family.

My eight year old daughter enjoys crafting and scrapbooking as well so I set her up a little art table beside mine. I painted the top of her table with chalkboard paint! She also has a plastic storage tower with all her supplies in it!

Jars are perfect for storing items like ribbon, stamps, and buttons!
All my storage boxes are labeled so I can easily find what I am looking for.
The back side of my nook holds my computer (my husband built a frame for my computer monitor) and my cricut machine.

Have a great Wednesday!

Amy

  1. It looks really nice. I love how you have a table and storage for your daughter. My little girl is 7 1/2 and just started her first scrapbook. She loves to come into my space to work on it.

  5. I totally just pinned this to my craft room/office board on Pinterest! I have a 3 1/2 month old little girl and I hope to have a space for the two of us to craft together too one of these days. Did your desk/shelf combo come from IKEA? I've been eyeing one just like it from there. Thanks for the inspiration! It looks just amazing! :)

    1. haha...yes it gets really messy when I'm scrapbooking. Papers and photos all over the place! That's why I love it in the basement. If I don't clean up right away guests don't see it!

  24. Great job on your room! I've pinned ya as an idea for my own room. Can I ask a question - How did you make space for the printer in the book shelf? It looks like an expedit from ikea -did you just cut one of the cubbies open? Curious! THanks! mrsmomomma@aol.com

    1. Yes when we were assembling the bookcase we just left out one of the dividers and it was the perfect size for our printer!

  27. How long is your desk area? Does it fold up when you are not using it ... I see the hinges on it and was not sure how if it folds up or the hinges are what holds it in place.
