I've been hinting that I was making some changes to my craft room. When we put in our new floors I decided to lighten up the room with a new paint color and then rearrange my desk layout.
Originally the room was a warm brown color and I had painted a stencil on the focal wall in white. You can read more about that here and here.
The new wall color is Glidden smooth stone and looks amazing with the dark floors.
Welcome to my new craft room...
My craft room is at the front of our home in what is supposed to be the formal living room. Here is a glimpse as you enter the house.
My Ikea Expedit provides a ton of storage. I wanted to get another one for this wall however the new model the Kallax is slightly smaller in size and I'm not sure how that would look side by side (grrrr).
I added a new gallery wall with items I already had. The deer head was from the Target dollar spot (score), I just traced patterned paper and glued it on.
I bought the globe second hand and painted it last fall.
I had to have a section to display my love for Strawberry Shortcake! Can you tell I'm a child of the 80's!
These small boxes are perfect for storing craft and scrapbooking supplies.
This is just some of my completed scrapbooks. Hence the need for another Expedit!
This little table holds my Project Life albums and adds a pop of color to the corner of the room.
Before redoing our floors this piece was in our dining room. It's full of odds and ends and decorations that I'm not currently using.
The opposite side of the room is my work station/desk.
I found these cute little tags on clearance at Michaels and they were perfect for labeling my Ikea boxes.
The cubbies under my desk hold my binders and my scrapbook and craft paper.
My favorite part of the room is my gallery wall. I made some of the signs myself and I also purchased some items from Etsy. My oldest daughter drew the penguin picture and my youngest daughter made the heart string art.
My husband recently made this cubby shelf for me from wood scraps in our garage.
The tiered organizer is from Hobby Lobby and holds some washi tape and my foam stamps.
This organizer is from Michaels and I use it to hold some of my Etsy shipping supplies, my tags and shop stamp. The leftover Project Life cards work great when I need write a quick note.
I recently recovered my chairs with fabric from Hobby Lobby.
My Ikea cart is much more functional now that the carpet is gone! It holds my go to everyday items. It mostly holds items I use to make my signs...paintbrushes, picture hangers, paint, etc.
This is the view from the adjoining dining room.
I hope you enjoyed my craft room tour.
Thanks for sticking around for all the photos!
Have a great day!

Thanks Christine! Yes the desk is from Ikea as well. I bought mine several years ago when it was Expedit. They currently have something similar here is the link http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39046554/.

ReplyDeleteI love your craft room, I wish you would do a post with the links for all your items. It really is an inspiration.
ReplyDeletelove the room, where did you get the rack on the wall? the one with the paint, pom poms, and glitter???
ReplyDeleteI admire your calm, beautiful space to create in. Your attention to detail is awesome, too. Does it ever get crazy messy? Do you put a table in the middle for big projects? Are those all photo albums on the shelves?
