Today I'm ready to share how my new craft room is coming along. It's not completely finished, but I do have the crafting/office section set up. We moved all my Ikea expedit's upstairs and had to purchase one more for some extra storage.
I used all the same Ikea furniture, but just arranged it differently to fit the space.
I did have to purchase one more small expedit because I was combining all my scrapbooking supplies plus everything that was previously in my computer armoire in the living room.
Everything is labeled so I can find things easily.
This expedit fit perfectly in front of the window. I LOVE having a crafting space with a window plus I will be able to work and keep an eye on the kids when they play out in the cul-de-sac.
More album storage.
Some of my favorite scrapbooking and decorating reads.
I am thrilled with my new space and can't wait to finish the other side of the room. I'm still trying to sell our living room furniture and then hopefully I will be able to purchase a new sofa for the room.
Next week I'm planning on sharing more on how I organize my crafting supplies and even opening up some of my personal scrapbooks to share with you.
Have a wonderful day!
Amy

ReplyDeletethis looks amazing. I love all the white and how simple everything is. All my stuff is mismatched (the containers and boxes, I am hoping to get everything organized and changed up if not here soon definitely after we move and after the wedding is over. One question, where do you use your Cricut at? I always find myself having to have a huge area to use it in.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brittany! I use my cricut machine right where it's at on top of my expedit. I have to pull it out to the very edge so the paper can fit out the back. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteI would love it if you would share this (and anything else you have been working on) at my linky party! http://domesticrandomness.blogspot.com/2013/01/friday-fascinations-8-everything-linky.html
Question....Did you buy the desk piece at Ikea as well or did you make it. I can see that it is attached to the expedite shelving but have not seen this before at Ikea? Just wondering because I already have the 3x9 expedite and would love to add the desk top?
ReplyDeleteYes the desk piece is from Ikea and made to go on the expedit bookcases.
DeleteGetting ready to work on my craft room and I love the white against the neutral walls. What color/brand of paint did you use?
ReplyDeleteThe wall color is barnwood by Valspar. Good luck with your craft room!
DeleteI can't imagine a room without a window, particularly with a craft room like this. The windows definitely help you to take time off work. I also like the idea that you get to watch your kids while doing your crafts. This simply gives you the peace of mind knowing that your children are safe and having fun when they play outside.
