Happy Monday everyone!
Today I am doing something a little different...a blog tour. I will introduce you to the blogger who invited me to participate, answer some questions, and then introduce you to a blog I enjoy reading!
I was invited to participate in this blog tour by Lori from thrifty decor mom. I've been following Lori's blog for quite awhile and love her home.
I relate to Lori because she uses what she already has (shops her home) and creates lovely spaces for her family on a budget.

Big thanks to Lori for inviting me to participate today. I'm sure she would love to hear from you all...thrifty decor mom.
Now for my questions...
1. What am I working on right now?
I recently rearranged the furniture in my craft room (again) and I'm trying to finish some organizing in the room since it's also our home office.
I'm also trying to put together a blog post that answers the most frequently asked questions I receive.
2. How does my work differ from other in this genre?
I'm sure some of it is similar to others since most of my ideas come from other talented bloggers and Pinterest. I love getting ideas from others but then putting my own twist on them. Everything I do is always on a budget. Sometimes I would love to run out and buy something new, but that isn't practical. I've learned over the years how to shop wisely and reuse items from around the house.
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I began blogging for myself as a way to remember all of my home projects and room makeovers. We had just purchased our forever house and I knew my husband and I were going to change EVERYTHING to make it feel like our home. This blog has become my personal scrapbook.
I have to create and decorate or else I would go crazy! Like many of you it's my creative outlet. It's just who I am!
4. How does my creative process work?
When I'm working on a large project such a room makeover I start by rounding up ideas from Pinterest and blogs. I make a detailed to do list for the room and figure out my budget. Making a list of things I'd like to change or need to purchase makes the process less overwhelming (plus I love checking things off my list).
Know it's time for me to introduce you to a blog I enjoy reading.
Tamara is a busy mother of four who has proven that you don't have to spend a lot of money to make your home beautiful.
Her children's rooms are adorable and personalized for her little one's.
I am in love with her kitchen especially that table! She has a series dedicated to high end kitchens on low end budget.
I hope you will take the time to visit Tamara and Lori. They both have charming homes and fantastic blogs!
Thanks for reading my blog tour, have a wonderful day!
Amy
